5th Dan Black Belt

Well it is a long time since anyone asked me to write about myself.

I have a Bachelors Degree in Martial Science, I have studied and am interested in Psychology, and Kinesiology.

I'm from a military back ground, my whole family have served in Her Majesty's Armed Forces at some time, I myself was an armourer (Anything to do with weapons and explosives) in the Royal Air Force, and traveled the world, going to Cyprus, America, Germany, Falkland Islands (Malvines Islands to my Argentine friends) Middle East, the list goes on.

Obviously I can not give too many details on my job, but it was interesting to say the least!

On leaving I continued a connection with the RAF, spending time as the Officer Commanding an Air Training Corps Unit in the Officer Reserves.

My interest in Martial Arts started at 19 during my military days, but it was not until I became a Choi Kwang-Do instructor that I truely felt my calling. It just fits. It really is like one big family, we look out for each other, and support one another. Not to mention the fact that it is scientifically sound, and effective. After all it was created by a true Master, Grand Master Kwang Jo Choi.

I enjoy being able to teach a skill to all people, no matter what their individual ability, need, race, gender or religion.

A good friend once told me, "Choi Kwang-Do has no borders." I agree.

Everyone who starts Choi Kwang-Do will know success!

As a female I guess I have followed some unusual career paths, Military, Hotel Management, Body Guard, Security and Martial Arts.

I remember going to an interview for a security job and the interviewer looking at me and saying "Why aren't you 6 ft tall, 300 lbs, with a skin head?" That was the impression my CV had given him.

Don't be fooled by what's on the outside, ha ha ask my students!

Now I am the Director of a security company, and a Professional Martial Arts Instructor.

The future ? - I hope to do a Doctorate in Psychology and continue to teach Martial Arts.
